Place details
For many years, Varna is a place where different communities are living together.
Still, there are :
- Greeks
- Armenians
- Jewish
- Turks
- Russians and Russian-speaking persons
- Poles
etc
All these communities were mixed and brought to the city a multicultural side. They all built their places of worship.
If you are interested in architecture or history, it may be interesting to make a "turf" of these different places of worship :
- Many Orthodox churches and the main Cathedral - one of the Varna symbols (the main religion in Bulgaria is Orthodoxy)
- Catholic temples - one Chapelle and a church
- an Armenian temple
- A Mosque
- A Synagogue
- and even a Monastery (in St St Konstantin & Elena)
Discover the town of Varna from a different, more spiritual angle.
